December

Well we have made it to that time of year where everywhere you go [really the weekends for me] it is congested and crowded. It is good to see people shopping but please be safe when you are out out and about. That means all of us, including myself. Let's not become irratic shoppers. :-) I hope that December has started off well for everyone. 2008 is almost over; I cannot wait to see what 2009 has in store for us. I hope and pray for the best.

Beautiful Reflection

I love this time of year...Fall. It is just beautiful outside right now. The light and how it hits the leaves and trees and all of their unique colors is beautiful. I hope everyone is enjoying Fall thus far. Winter will be here before you know it.

Happy Veterans Day

To all of my Veterans, Happy Veterans Day. Welcome home. Of course we always think about those who did not make it home safely. To all of the soldiers, and especially the one I know personally, be safe and we all await your safe return.

A day fit for a couple of Princesses!

Avery and Lydia celebrated their first birthday with a royal lunch. Those two little girls are so beautiful and so different at the same time. They both [as well as their brother] have very distinctive and unique personalities and I am so glad that their parents invited me to share in this big occasion with them. I cannot wait to see them when they are 16! I know I am way ahead of myself! Erin and Chris you guys have a beautiful family and I want to thank you for allowing me to share in these wonderful moments in your life. I wish you guys nothing but the best in the adventures and new beginnings that you and your family embark on.

¡Felicidades! Congrats are in order!!

So I am super excited since one of my best friends became engaged just a few hours ago!!! I am so excited for Amber & Mark and this wonderful news. I will not indulge any details but wanted to share with all of you my sincere and utter happiness for them. Congratulations Amber! I am excited and anxious to see what lies ahead and what colors we will be working with! ;-) I just want to wish you both a lifetime of happiness, love, good health and prosperity. Mark, major kudos on the ring. You did an AMAZING job and you make me very proud. Also, Mark will be running in the New York City Marathon on Sunday; so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he will have a safe race. There is no doubt in my mind that he will do very well. Good Luck Hap!

Sadie Grace

I would like to take the time to welcome Sadie Grace into the world. She was born on September 22, 2008 at 5:19 a.m. weighing 6 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. I am absolutely thrilled for Sheryl, Jimmy & Caegan. Caegan is a very proud big brother and he even wore the shirt to prove it. I wish this family a lifetime of happiness, love, good health, safety and prosperity.

It's been a while

Life has been great, hectic, busy, exhausting, fun and everything else in between. I have not updated my blog as much as I have wanted to--time is a HUGE factor and when it is limited you have to blog when you can. With Fall rapidly approaching us, I can't help but look back and reflect on what a great summer it has been. I had the opportunity to shoot two weddings, family photos, a 50th...yes 50th Wedding Anniversary party, baby showers and so much more. I have been truly blessed that these individuals have allowed me to help them remember wonderful moments in their lives and I only hope that I captured them in a beautiful manner. On another note, I went fishing while on vacation--I decided to let "Hook" the Crane do the work while I sat back and enjoyed the view.

Baby Sadie Grace

Sheryl had a wonderful baby shower thrown for her on Saturday, July 26, 2008, by a wonderful group of women. Sadie got lots of cute gifts, including a diaper bag that matches her bedding and monogrammed onesies. Her belly is too cute and soon enough Sadie will be here and Caegan will be a big brother. I am so happy for her, Jimmy and their growing family. I wish them a lifetime of happiness, love and prosperity.

Mena, Arkansas

There is so much beauty and serenity in the hills and valleys of Arkansas. Queen Wilhelmina State Park is such a lovely place to go and relax and just enjoy yourself. Driving along curvy Scenic 88, and enjoying the endless amount of trees is pretty breathtaking. I had an interesting day hiking along the Lover's Leap trail. It was hot but the trail did not defeat me. Just exploring and not having a clue where I was going made it even more intriguing. I have to admit, the view from the top was amazing and it was a fun and interesting journey.

Congratulations to the Erickson Family!

I wanted to take the time to welcome little Rowan Henry into the world. He was born on July 11, 2008 at 5:33 p.m. weighing a lovely 8 pounds and 6 ounces (the same as his sister Audrey) and 21 inches long. I am so utterly happy for Jennifer & Drew. Mother and baby are resting and recovering well. You can stay updated with Jennifer, her family and her photography by visiting her site--which I have linked on the right--at http://www.jenniferericksonphotography.com/. He is so ADORABLE! Congratulations you guys! I can't wait to see family pictures.
UPDATE: Jennifer posted new photos of Ace and Row...they are too cute for words! Amazingly beautiful. Love the stroller Jen!

Beautiful baby girl

My friend Dainelle gave birth to her baby girl on June 18, 2008. Leah is her name and she is such a sweet, beautiful and quiet baby. She has a strong will and I wonder if she will have her mother's fiesty attitude. I hope so at least! ;-) I cannot wait to watch her as she continues to change and grow older. Congratulations Dainelle and LaKelvin!

Chris & Elisa

These two tied the knot on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Cherokee Water Co. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was delighted to share that happy and memorable day with them. She had a great group of young women that were in her bridal party. They looked lovely. Everyone did! Elisa was a beautiful bride and Chris was a handsome groom. They nervously awaited to see one another and it was well worth the wait. So Chris what did you think about the dress? I wish these two a lifetime of happiness, love, health and safety.

Uncertain, Texas

In an uncertain place, lies a beautiful lake. To me, this natural lake is gorgeous, beautiful and serene. I love to go to Caddo to clear my mind; to have that bit of silence where I am not thinking about anything. Just complete serenity.

Blane the Cowboy!

This was so much fun and it was a gorgeous and beautiful day! Blane is a true cowboy at heart! This little guy had a blast and you could see it all over his face the entire afternoon. His twin sisters are adorable as well. Chris & Erin have done a wonderful job and they are such a beautiful and loving family. I can't wait to see Avery & Lydia when they turn one!

Alex

This little guy is too funny for words, but as I tell his mom all the time, "He is his mother's son!" Not knocking his dad! Tripp & Katriana have done an amazing job with this little boy and I love being able to watch him grow up!

2008

As we all know, we will be electing a new President this year. It is amazing how many high profile individuals backed different candidates. What was even more amazing was that they came to East Texas to do so.

Diamonds

I love jewelry in every aspect. The art, the history and sometimes the story that comes along with it. I love Harry Winston and other artists that create wonderful pieces of art, made of beautiful and exquisite jewels that last for centuries.

Amanda, Jason & Trevor

This was a fun and hot day for all of us. Some of the pictures are posed, but most of them are not. Trevor got a little cranky and hungry but I kept right on shooting. He was so calm in their arms. They are a wonderful and loving family.

I love the beach. Just listening to the surf, playing in the sand and watching the sunset is relaxing to me.

The Lone Star State

I love to travel to new places and to places I have been numerous times. I am lucky to live in a state that changes so drastically as you travel thru it, but blends together so beautifully. It is amazing how much wonderful scenary you see while traveling thru and across Texas. It is a beautiful state.
